Sexual Health Clinic

Chlamydia

Chlamydia is a sexually transmitted infection. It is often known as the silent infection because most of the time it shows no symptoms. Chlamydia is the most common STI in the UK.

Most people don't have any symptoms, and therefore don't know they are infected. However, those who do report symptoms usually report:

  • Discharge
  • Irregular bleeding
  • Pain when passing urine
  • Abdominal pain
  • Painful testicles
  • Pain after sex
